Welcome!

This blog has been created with the intention of enhancing your English skills; so that you can practice and expand your knowledge through the use of technology. At the same time, students and instructor will be closer which will facilitate the learning process.

This tool will hopefully help to avoid this kind of, even though funny, still  embarassing scenarios.

Do not be afraid of learning anymore, just go through every tab and you will find explanations, definitions and examples, then participate and comment whenever needed. The students participation and interaction to each other must be in English.

Let's have fun with technology & English!

What do I have to do?

Firstable you need to have a google (gmail) account for you to comment and participate in the activities.

How do I participate in the activities?

You need to post a comment at the foot of the specific actiivity (post) you are doing. The following youtube video shows you how to do it!

Where do I go?

  1. On the upper part of the blog you will have different sections: “Evaluation overview & chronogram", "First assessment", "second assessment", "final assessment", "weekly homework & reminders" & a "culture" tab.
  2. Evaluation overview & chronogram: Choose first this tab. This page will give you a detailed chronogram of the course tasks as well as an evaluation breakdown. All the tasks will state the percentage assigned for them.
  3. Then, click on the "First assessment" tab. Here you will find grammatical structures and some practices within. The content will be about the topics to be evaluated in the first partial exam.
  4. Second assessment. THere you will find grammatical structures and some practices within. The content will be about the topics to be evaluated in the second partial exam.
  5. Final assessment: Here you will find grammatical structures and some practices within. The content will be about the topics to be evaluated in the Final exam.
  6. Then, there is a "weekly homework & reminders" tab where you can review the homework that has already been assigned during the saturday's session.
  7. As learning a language does not only involve grammar, vocabulary or understanding skills, a "culture" tab has been included. In here, important elements such as holidays, slang and traditions about the English speaking countries, mainly U.S.A, have been included. The former with the intention of providing you with enough cultural knowledge to avoid embarrasing or even rude situations, while aiming to make you a more proficient English speaker.
  8. Finally, "C'mon, live English!" will provide you with useful tips to get surrounded by English even in the Costa Rican context, which shall enhance the learner's English skills significantly.

Feel free to post a comment if you have any question, I'll be happy to assist you ASAP.
